Story

Fjelltrone emerged from Karlshamn, situated in Blekinge in the south of Sweden. And was establish in 1999 and the band consists of one member Markus alias “Fjelltrone”. Fjelltrone’s influences come from band like Mortiis, Burzum, Wardruna, Lustre and so on. But neither of them has the same music as Fjelltrone, you can find more tribal influences in "Skogens ande" but more black metal on his new album “Urdabrunnen”.

 

The music appears in a dark ambient, symphonic way…with a strain of romantics and dark cruelty. Every song contains sounds of beautiful Northern melodies, Fjelltrone’s music and style cannot be mistaken for anyone else. Fjelltrone have released a fullenght album called ”Skogen Ande”.

The album ”Skogens ande” was out in the year 1999, and the record stands for 8 instrumental, guitar less songs. Threatening, fearful, monumental, musing and romantic parts are to be found on this album!  "Skogens Ande" were review by many fanzines and underground magazine around the world (Russia, Germany, Israel, Japan, Italy, Belgium, England and US) and Fjelltrone´s music were to be found on several compilations around the world.

 

Late in 2002 Fjelltrone and Germany´s Vinterriket did a split LP in 500ex called " Vinterriket/Fjelltrone - Vom Echo Der Melancholie / Nattens Barn", released in 500 hand-numbered copies!

In 2006 Fjelltrone released the second album called "Trollskog" a fullenght mini-album containing 4 new song and one cover song. The cover "Han som reiste" " were from Burzum´s album "Det som engang var". Fjelltrone were on "ice" from 2007 to 2012. But In 2014 Fjelltrone released the record (only digital version) "Veorfölnir" on Spotify, Itunes, Deezer and so on and it were a new era for the project.

 

In 2017 Fjelltrone made a 2-year deal with Polands record company Via Nocturna/Ragnarok for the fullenght album "Urdabrunnen" (the well of fait in nordic mytology). The album contains a mix of blackmetal and darkambient sound. Fjelltrone played all the instruments in that record.

In 2019 Fjelltrone will celebrate his 20-years as project and a new record is on its way to see the moon.
